Bon Appetit Group takes home ‘Best Float’ from
the 2019 Dunedin Mardi Gras Parade

Dunedin, FL – March 8, 2019 – The weather was chilly, but that didn’t stop the excitement of the 28th annual Dunedin Mardi Gras parade. Among the enthusiastic crowd, parade judges, unbeknownst to float passengers, were paying close attention to each float in order to choose the 2019 “best float” winner.  With over 40 floats participating in the parade, the judges had a lot to consider.

As the judges examined each float, they were especially impressed by the Weddings on the Water theme, finding it unique and relevant to Bon Appétit Group’s wedding and reception business.  The float, complete with wedding décor, bridal party and branding for all the group’s locations, landed the Downtown Dunedin Merchants Association Best Float award for the 2019 parade.

It was a fun process, putting together all the details. Between Bon Appétit Restaurant and our operations on Honeymoon Island and Sand Key Beach, we host a lot of weddings; the Weddings on the Water theme seemed like a natural fit,” said Bruno Grela, Controller and head of the parade committee for Bon Appétit Group. “We’re excited to have won the award, but really though, the best part of the entire experience was the creativity and comradery among all the employees throughout the planning and participating in the parade.”
